EL MOD041PL-L15B3K1 is a pendant whose shade is a flat aluminium disc 35 cm across, black on both faces. It hangs on a thin cable from a cylindrical ceiling cup. The LED sits in a recess at the centre of the disc, behind a honeycomb louvre. How high you hang it The drop adjusts between 128 and 328 cm, measured from the ceiling to the lower edge of the disc. Over a table it is usually set so the disc sits 70-80 cm above the top; the upper end of the range also covers a high ceiling or a stairwell. The ceiling cup is a cylinder 6 cm across and 12 cm tall, not a flat plate. The disc assembly itself is 16 cm high and the whole fitting weighs 1 kg net. How much light it gives and where it puts it The manufacturer states 500 lm at 12 W and 3000 K, which is warm white. That is less than the old 60 W bulb at around 800 lm, so the fitting lights a defined spot rather than a whole room. Light leaves downwards only, through a round panel 15.3 cm across; the disc above it is opaque. With a 90-degree beam and a 75 cm drop above the table, the lit circle is about 1.5 m across. The honeycomb louvre hides the diodes from a side view, and Ra 80 colour rendering is enough for a dining room but not for work with colour. Light source and control The LED is built in for good — there is no lampholder and no replaceable bulb, and the manufacturer quotes 50,000 hours of service life. After that the module is replaced, not the source. The manufacturer's table lists the fitting as non-dimmable, so it will not work with a wall dimmer. Supply is 220-240 V and the fitting is protection class I: the ceiling box needs an earth conductor. The manufacturer declares energy class G. Build and the rooms it suits Disc and ceiling cup are aluminium painted black, with no decoration and no glass parts. The fitting belongs to the El series. The manufacturer intends it for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, including over the table, and for hotel and restaurant interiors.
