INSIEME 35 is a pendant built from two shades: an outer mirrored dome of smoked glass in a grey tone and a smaller inner shade in a warm amber-gold, visible through the glass from below. The whole thing hangs from a black ceiling rose 12 cm across. Size and how low it hangs The outer dome is 35 cm across and 20 cm tall; the inner shade is 20 cm across and 10 cm tall. The manufacturer's dimension drawing gives 142 cm of cable and a total height of 150 cm from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade. The suspension length is adjustable, so those 150 cm are a maximum rather than a fixed measurement. A dining table top sits at 75 cm — subtract that, plus the clearance you want over the table, from your ceiling height and you have the length the cable needs to be shortened to. At 35 cm across, one shade covers the zone over a round table or the middle of a rectangular one; over a long table, two or three are planned in a row. No bulb in the box, and the socket is GX53 The fitting has one light point on a GX53 socket and takes a lamp of up to 10 W. That is not the light's own output but the ceiling for whatever you fit — the fitting itself arrives without a light source. GX53 is a holder for a flat LED lamp that is pushed in and turned a quarter turn; its geometry differs from E27 or GU10, so a bulb from an ordinary lamp will not go in here and has to be chosen separately. In exchange the LED is not permanently built in, so years from now it is the lamp that gets replaced rather than the whole fitting. Materials and the light The construction is metal and glass. The outer glass is smoked, so the lit lamp is not visible outright as a bright point — the dome directs light down onto the table and lets it through to the sides muted.
