BOLERO is a wall lamp in a classic idiom: the steel arm sweeps up in an arc and ends in a decorative scroll above the shade. The metal parts — the round wall rosette, the arm and the lampholder — are finished in black with a gold patina applied by hand, so the pattern of the wear marks differs slightly from piece to piece. The shade is cream opal glass, shaped like a flattened sphere open at the bottom. How much wall it takes up The lamp is 30 cm wide, 29 cm tall and projects 30 cm from the wall. This is a full-size decorative fitting rather than a small supplementary light — before mounting it, check that 30 cm of projection does not get in the way in a narrow hallway or in the passage beside a bed. The complete fitting weighs 1.3 kg, so ordinary wall plugs are enough in masonry; plasterboard needs cavity fixings. The round rosette covers the installation box. What light it gives The lamp takes one E27 bulb of up to 15 W. No bulb is supplied, and the 15 W ceiling means an LED bulb in practice — incandescent and halogen lamps with an E27 base start at higher wattages. You choose the light colour yourself; classic interiors are usually lit at 2700 K, a warm, slightly yellow light. The shade is opaque and open at the bottom, so the light is thrown downwards — onto the wall and the area directly below the fitting. The cream glass further warms the light that passes through the shade wall. The bulb remains replaceable. Which interior it suits The manufacturer places BOLERO in the classic style and intends it for indoor use only. The curved arm, the patinated metal and the soft outline of the glass shade sit well with wooden furniture, upholstered seating and profiled mouldings — in a living room, a bedroom or a traditionally furnished stairwell. Build and warranty The load-bearing structure is steel and the shade is glass. The patina is a hand-applied part of the finish, not a sign of wear. JUPITER covers this fitting with a five-year warranty — three years longer than the two-year minimum common in decorative lighting.
