Vision MOD411WL-01G is a wall light with a rounded blown-glass shade carried on a gold aluminium fitting: a cylinder holding the lampholder, a horizontal arm and a round wall plate. The shade has two layers — an inner milky dome that covers the bulb, and a clear outer layer through which the shape of the inner one shows. How much wall it takes up The fitting is 21 cm high and 18 cm wide and projects 22.7 cm from the wall. That last figure decides where it can go: above a narrow passage it is worth subtracting from the width of the route, since walking past comfortably starts at around 80 cm. The wall plate is 6 cm across, so it covers only a small patch of wall around the cable outlet. The whole fitting weighs 0.89 kg and hangs off that single plate. What bulb it takes and how it lights The lampholder is E14 and the maximum bulb rating is 60 W. No bulb is included, so colour and brightness are yours to choose: 2700 K is warm and distinctly yellowish, while 4000 K reads cooler and more neutral. The bulb sits inside the milky dome, so it is not visible directly from the side or from below — what leaves the shade is already diffused. The maker states the fitting is not dimmable, so the light level is set by the choice of bulb rather than by a dimmer. Glass and finish Shades in the Vision series are made by double-blowing the glass; the maker notes that it is this technique that gives a repeatable shape from one piece to the next, even though each shade is formed individually.
