KAZZ is a collection from the Spanish brand Mantra, designed by Santiago Sevillano. This model – reference 8139 – is the smaller pendant in a wood finish, 38 cm across. Four E27 sockets under one shade This is an unusual arrangement: a single domed shade holds four E27 lampholders, not one. It gives far more light than a pendant of this size normally would, and lets you set the brightness by how many bulbs you fit. It also has a practical consequence – budget for four bulbs, because none are included. The fitting is not dimmable, so the lamps themselves are the adjustment. Height adjustable 15–165 cm The suspension adjusts over a very wide range: from 15 cm tight under the ceiling to 165 cm. That is a metre and a half of freedom – enough for a table in a standard-height flat and for a room with a high ceiling or a kitchen island. The supply cable is 1.5 m and black, which stays visible against a pale ceiling – worth allowing for in the scheme. Build The manufacturer lists three materials: metal, ABS and acrylic. The wood finish applies to the visible surface of the shade. Weight is 1.6 kg – light for a fitting of this diameter, which helps when mounting into a suspended ceiling. Installation Supply 100–240 V ~50/60 Hz – a wider range than the usual 220–240 V. Protection class I means a protective earth must be connected. IP20 – dry interiors. Manufacturer's warranty: 3 years. Collection variants KAZZ comes in a small and a large size and in four finishes. In the same size as this model there are 8137 (white) and 8138 (black); the large versions include 8142 (wood), 8140 (white) and 8141 (black).
