STEINEL DualTech COM1 is a white presence detector for recessed ceiling installation. It combines ultrasonic detection with passive infrared sensing (PIR), while its COM1 interface is intended for switching lighting on and off. Its 103 × 120 × 120 mm dimensions provide a concrete reference when checking the available ceiling space.Detection for indoor areasThe manufacturer lists indoor use in classrooms, single-person and open-plan offices, conference rooms, duty rooms and recreation rooms. Detection covers 360°. The ultrasonic presence zone is Ø 6 m, or 28 m²; radial and tangential ultrasonic reach are each stated as Ø 10 m, or 79 m².PIR detection complements those figures with a radial reach of Ø 4 m (13 m²) and tangential reach of Ø 8 m (50 m²).
