The LUMINES 12-0964-00 end cap is a flat grey ABS closure for the inDILEDA LED profile. Its face carries a hole for the supply cable, and the cap is side-neutral — it fits either end of a run. Which profile it belongs to inDILEDA is an aluminium recessed profile, set into a milled groove in plasterboard ceilings and walls. Its section measures 38,4 mm across the flange and 27,4 mm at the body, 26,1 mm high; the internal channel is 25,0 mm wide and 18,4 mm deep and takes two LED strips. The manufacturer assigns this end cap to the inDILEDA system only. The cable hole and how it fixes The driver in this system sits outside the profile, so the cable has to leave the channel at its end — that is what the hole is for. For inDILEDA the manufacturer catalogues the holed version only, so the same part closes both ends of a run and the unused hole stays on the opposite side. The cap is screwed on with two screws rather than pushed in. When the strip needs servicing it can be unscrewed and refitted without disturbing the profile recessed in the board. What else makes up a finished run One length of profile needs two end caps. The profile itself comes in 1,0 m, 2,02 m and 3,0 m — the last two digits of the code stand for the length (-10, -20, -30) — as white lacquered 10-0201, black lacquered 10-0205 and silver anodised 10-0204; longer cuts up to 6 m are made to order. Mounting springs 14-5001-00 hold the profile in the board, and lengths are joined with connectors: straight 14-3032-02, angular 90° 14-3030-01, angular 120° 14-3036-01 and transverse 14-3038-01. The channel is closed by a cover from the DOUBLE range — transparent PMMA 11-2073, frosted 11-2072, milky 11-2071 or black 11-2077, ending in -10, -20 or -30 by length. Grey is not in the profile's own palette, which runs white, black and silver, so this cap reads as a contrast against the profile finish.
