The Quintiesse Braelyn in its single-light form is a wall light 244 mm tall that stands 149 mm off the wall. The shade takes the shape of a glass jar turned upside down on a curved arm — a nod to the nineteenth-century vessels the whole Braelyn family draws on.Seeded glassThe shade is seeded glass: clear, but deliberately carrying fine air bubbles. That is not a manufacturing flaw but the intended effect — the bubbles refract the light and soften it instead of passing it straight through the way plain glass would. With clear glass the bulb stays visible, which is why the manufacturer recommends a decorative Edison-style lamp; it, rather than the shade, sets the character of the light here.For the bathroomIP44 means resistance to splashing water from any direction, so the fitting can work in a bathroom — beside a mirror or above a basin.
