Die Ultisil Diol-Säule basiert auf ultrareinem porösem kugelförmigem Siliciumdioxid, das mit Siliciumdioxid der funktionellen 1,2-Dihydroxypropylgruppe gebunden ist. UltisilDiol wird hauptsächlich in der Normalphase verwendet und eignet sich zur Trennung von Peptiden, Proteinen, polaren Molekülen und organischen Säuren und ihren Polymeren .
